Materials Manager 
  
Overview: 
This position is to provide overall management of COS (continuity of supply) of particular product line in the OEM/CM environment to support the MPS requirement from production planning. This is not a managerial position but definitely will have opportunity for promotion given performance and potential is justified. 
  
Major Responsibilities and Key Objectives: 
•         Continuity of Supply Management 
•          Maintain and Manage Supply Chain processes 
–         Manage and mitigate component shortages 
–         CM Miscellaneous charges 
–         Component Buffer Strategies (VMI/SMI/ROP) 
–         Key Component Management 
–         MRP Integrity through Audits 
–         NPI/Sustaining Transition 
–         EOL  
–         Component Allocation 
•          Provide Supply/Demand analysis for CTB 
•          Material risk mgmnt during production ramp & NPI transitions 
•         Contract Manufacturing Execution Management 
•          Provide support and training for CMs to ensure key metrics are achieved  
•          Ensure CMs are following processes and procedures 
•          Coordinate supply/demand analysis and PO Management 
•          Establish and maintain strong working relationship with CMs 
•          Understand CM processes, business model and supply chain to help drive business trade-offs 
•         Inventory Management 
•          Material Impact analysis 
•          E&O & MRB management 
•          Understanding of product & material liabilities 
•          Site balancing 
•         Process and Tools Enhancement 
•          Proactively drive cross-functional teams to develop or enhance common processes and tools to improve efficiencies and effectiveness as business scales or evolves 
  
Person Specifications: 
- University degree in business administration or engineering major, MBA is preferred.
 
- 7-8 years of professional experience in material planning/purchasing in a multi-national environment in the IT/electronics industry with well-balanced purchasing & planning experience 
 
- Familiar with OEM/CM business model
 
- Excellent English skills (listening, reading, writing & speaking)
 
- Excellent interpersonal skills
 
- Candidate must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
 
- Hands-on and result-oriented
